About Us:

Black Men Teach is committed to increasing the representation of Black men and boys in the education system. Our mission is to raise the profile of teaching among Black males and create space for Black boys to thrive. We are dedicated to challenging stereotypes and providing Black males with the support and resources needed to succeed in education. By joining us as a Programmes Lead, you will play a key role in driving forward our vision and ensuring our programs are both effective and inspiring.

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Programmes Lead, you will:

• Develop and oversee the implementation of programmes aimed at recruiting, training, and retaining Black men in the teaching profession.
• Ensure that all programmes are of high quality and effectively meet the needs of participants.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including schools, training providers, and community organisations, to expand the reach and impact of our programmes.
• Monitor and evaluate the success of programmes, making improvements as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
• Support the strategic growth of Black Men Teach by contributing to the development of new initiatives that align with our mission.

Key Skills and Qualities:

• We are seeking a Programmes Lead with the following skills and experience:
• Strong programme management skills with experience in the education sector.
• Expertise in curriculum development, training, and development, particularly in relation to teacher recruitment and retention.
• Proven ability to lead projects, manage multiple priorities, and work effectively with diverse teams.
• Passion for promoting diversity and inclusion in education, with a focus on supporting Black men and boys.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic thinking abilities.
