About Us:

Black Men Teach is committed to increasing the representation of Black men and boys in the education system. Our mission is to raise the profile of teaching among Black males and create space for Black boys to thrive. We are dedicated to challenging stereotypes and providing Black males with the support and resources needed to succeed in education.

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Workshop Facilitator, you will:

• Deliver Engaging Workshops: Facilitate interactive and engaging workshops and assemblies for schools, focusing on creating positive experiences for Black boys.
• Create a Supportive Atmosphere: Foster a relaxed and enjoyable learning environment that encourages participation and open dialogue.
• Tailor Content Delivery: Adapt workshop materials to meet the needs of different groups and settings, ensuring that sessions remain relevant and impactful.
• Collect and Provide Feedback: Gather feedback from participants and staff after each session, using insights to improve future workshops.
• Represent Black Men Teach: Be the face of our organisation in schools, acting as a role model and ambassador for our mission.

Key Skills and Qualities:

We are seeking a Workshop Facilitator with the following skills and experience:

• Youth Engagement: Experience working with young people, particularly within educational or youth development settings (desired).
• Presentation and Communication Skills: Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate clearly and confidently with a variety of audiences (required).
• Public Speaking: Comfortable and experienced in public speaking (required).
• Adaptability: Ability to tailor sessions to different age groups, school environments, and settings (desired).
• Professionalism: Punctual, reliable, and capable of managing time and logistics effectively.

• Expected Hours: Varies based on bookings; flexible hours
• Schedule: Monday to Friday (both virtual and in-person opportunities available)
